Monster
Hill Monster Hill is a vital
military redoubt during the Second
World War. British military commenced
the construction of batteries on
the headland south of the Lei Yue
Mun Channel. Works for the Lei Yue
Mun fortifications were largely completed
in 1887. All batteries there were
equipped with the most advanced guns,
making them the most extensive and
well-equipped coastal defensive works
in Hong Kong at the time.

Hoi Hau Lighthouse
¡@¡@Hoi Hau Lighthouse located at the
Lei Yue Mun more than 50 years. It acts
as a vital guiding point and also provides
light for the ships between the strait
of Lei Yue Mun. It also bears a great
responsibility in Hong Kong shipping
and carrying business because Lei Yue
Mun strait is the main entrance of Victoria
Harbour.

Tin Hau
Temple
¡@¡@The Lei Yue Mun Tin Hau Template was built
at Ching Dynasty in year 1753. Up to now,
it is standing here for more than two hundred
years. Every year, in order to celebrate
the Tin Hau Birthday, many visitors come
here to contribute, also many Chinese tradition
activities will perform during the celebration
such as ¡§Chinese Opera", and the
whole district are full of celebrating
decoration. |

| Quarry
Field
¡@¡@In 1950s, Lei Yue Mun offers a huge amount
of jobs available because of the active
diggings. Turn to 1960s, the economic transformation
led to the decline of the quarry field,
most of the fields and diggings gradually
closed. Peoples can only view in the abandon
site now. |
